swimming

Leanne has always liked the pool and has started her swimming lessons for a few weeks now. she is now able to blow water bubbles with her nose, hold her head in the water for a short while, kick with the kick board. but I think her favourite is pretending to be a water ballerina.

things that leanne said during the sydney trip

The very first morning after her shower-
This is the coldest day on earth
The female voice on the GPS:
Mommy, that woman is very smart. She knows where to go.
When we were at the ski resort:
This is freezing cold…
As we are nearing the end of our trip:
This is Sydney earth, and we go back to Singapore earth

The night before we left:
Mommy, do you remember the rules of our house?
I sleep in my bed by myself and you cannot sit at the sleepy cushion for too long

and what else did we do?

well, I guess it wouldn't be a holiday if we didn't do the following:

shoe shopping with daddy

 yummy food

photo with the birthday girl
leanne: I like his cooking (referring to the teppanyaki chef)

and when we accidentally gave her the pancake cooked with rum, she said ' no wonder it tastes so good!'

 and lots of ice cream

and lots of walking, of course!

bondi beach spotting

we were blessed with quite a couple of warm sunny days even though it was winter in sydney.

sdyney- smiggen holes and thredbo

She remembered mr s lessons well
and this is what she said:

 Lean forward and push

If you want to stop, point your legs to v.
 oops!

sydney- smiggen holes and thredbo

Leanne loved the snow. We signed her up for ski class only to hear that the min. age was 5 and she had to go to another mountain where there is younger group. So she just played toboggan with joyce and ben. And while the two cousins are practicing their skiing, she played snow and learnt to ski too.

sydney-off to the snow mountains

We took a coach to travel from Sydney to smiggen holes and thredbo in Canberra. The journey was about 5 hours with a toilet break in between. Leanne was great. She slept through most of the journey. Ben and joyce were great too! They sat next to her and entertained her while she was awake.

group photo with the john, our driver. it was his birthday that day.

Leanne:  it's freezing cold!

sydney part 1

It was rainy and miserable the weekend we arrived at Sydney but it still didn’t dampen our spirit to visit surrey hills and the contemporary arts museum at the rocks. At leanne’s request, we bought a kaleidoscope for her at the shop. She put it to her eye and started saying “ shiver me timbers!”. i didn’t even know this phase :P She said she learnt it from peppa pig.

we drove most of the time and Leanne got to catch up on her sleep during the rides...

We also went to the Sydney fish market on Sunday morning and had lots of seafood. It was hard to get a parking lot and even harder trying to get seats. So no pics as we were busy tucking in to our seafood platter, lobster noodles, fresh oysters, sashimi and abalone sashimi!

sydney, here we come!

our sdyney trip - 27 June - 11 July 2013

Our flight departure was at 7am which meant that we got to reach the airport at 5am and now that we are staying at the other end of Singapore, we got to wake up at 3.45am to pack the remaining stuff and get onto the cab by 4.30am. We also had a last minute maniac visa application an hour before midnight when we realized that we needed one after we couldn't do our internet flight check-in.

I must say Leanne thoroughly enjoyed the inflight experience J
